We have been asked to forward this by the Department of Health given its importance.
Testing has now been expanded to include essential workers with symptoms and people who live with essential workers and have symptoms.
A full list of essential workers is available here.
Full details on how to access testing in all nations and who is eligible can be found here.
Essential workers can book tests for themselves and their household via a new online portal on gov.uk/coronavirus. This will make the process of getting an appointment quicker and easier, while reducing the burden on business. The online booking service applies to England and Scotland.
As notified in a previous update (24.04.2020), there is testing capacity available at the mobile testing sites over the next two days for key workers who are symptomatic, have valid public sector ID and are aged over 18.
You can send eligible key workers to attend the site without an appointment. They may also be able to book a timed appointment, as can other key workers, via the national booking portal once these locations are available on the drop down menu.
Opening times for all mobile sites are 10.30-15.30.
Access to tests is for pedestrians and those in vehicles.
