Between now and May 2020, Art UK are seeking collection partners to participate in our relaunched Masterpieces in Schools programme.
In May 2017, Art UK received funding to begin the next major stage of its work. Supported by the HLF, Arts Council England, the Scottish Government, a range of large and small grant-giving trusts, and over 70 individual and corporate donors, Art UK will spend the next three years cataloguing the UK’s national collection of sculpture. This initiative will see around 170,000 sculptures from inside public collections and across the nation’s streets and squares showcased on the artuk.org website by 2020.
As part of the Sculpture project, we will be running an extensive programme of learning and engagement activities across the country, including a repeat of the successful Masterpieces in Schools initiative from 2013.
Our relaunched Masterpieces in Schools initiative has been made possible by the generous support of the Heritage Lottery Fund, the Stavros Niarchos Foundation, Hiscox, and RK Harrison.
