We are delighted to announce that HES has been shortlisted for the Education Resources Awards (ERA) 2019 in two categories: Supplier of the Year (Not for Profit) and Marketing Campaign of the Year for the Veggie Run app.
ERA is an established accolade of excellence within the education industry. It was created to recognise the best educational establishments and exceptional teaching staff, as well as to promote raising standards for education products and services.
HES’ shortlisting for Supplier of the Year (Not for Profit) is testament to our transformation and innovations we have undergone over the past year, in particular the continued growth of our Brokerage Service. The Brokerage Service supports schools and settings to procure a wide range of goods and services achieving value for money and minimised procurement risks.
Created by HES’ Catering Services, Veggie Run, which is shortlisted for Marketing Campaign of the Year, is an innovative healthy eating app aimed at children and young people of school age. The app is free to download and assists young people in making healthier dietary and lifestyle choices. Since its launch in April 2018, the app has seen great success with over 22,000 downloads in Havering and beyond. Download Veggie Run on the App Store and Google Play.
Trevor Cook, Assistant Director, HES, “Being shortlisted and recognised alongside major national players in the education market is a remarkable achievement for HES and something that can only be attributed to our strong partnership working approach and the hard work and dedication of all our staff in providing high standard service to schools and settings.”
